There is something magical about London in the summertime. The city comes alive and there’s nowhere better to be than outside, soaking up the sunshine. Skylight, London’s newest rooftop bar in Tobacco Dock, is the perfect place to hang out this summer.
Taking over the top three levels of a former car park, Skylight has fantastic views of the London skyline with great drinks, street food and lawn games. Who doesn’t love cocktails alongside a game of croquet?
We visited on the opening night. The sun was shining, music was playing and the drinks were flowing. Summer was officially in full swing.
There are quite a few bars on each level, so queuing is never an issue. Grab a comfy seat to kick back and relax or jump in on a game of croquet, lawn bowls or petanque with some friends.
Skylight has a super chilled out vibe – the perfect spot to come with friends on a sunny afternoon for drinks before a night out.
They’ve got some great drinks sponsors, including Blue Moon, Absolute and Laurent Perrier. Fully stocked bars with a range of beers, cocktails and champagne – Skylight has it all.
The street food is pretty awesome too – try out these deliciously crispy halloumi fries doused in panko crumbs from Yiro or a burger from We Serve Humans. They were sold out by the time we got up to the queue so I take it they are pretty damn good!
I highly recommend Skylight London for your next fun day out with friends! To me, nothing is better than a great view, cocktails, food and company and when the sun is shining – why stay at ground level?!
